DESCRIPTION:The SA Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind is delighted to announce the return of its annual Family Fun Day\, taking place on Sunday\, 8 March 2026\, at its Johannesburg premises. \nBring the whole family along for a fun-filled day of entertainment\, activities\, and unforgettable experiences—while supporting a truly meaningful cause. \nWe’ve put together an exciting line-up to keep everyone entertained throughout the day. \n\nDon’t miss the adorable puppies in training as they strut their stuff in the Best Dressed Puppy Parade.\nBe inspired by our Assistance Dogs as they showcase their incredible skills in action-packed arena demonstrations\nSee our Orientation and Mobility team in action as they highlight the vital services they provide every day.\nFeeling brave? Take part in a blindfolded walk with one of our guide dogs—a unique and eye-opening experience you won’t soon forget.\nEnjoy a guided tour of our facilities\nRelax in the charming Tea Garden under the shade of our magnificent oak tree. There’s truly something for everyone.\n\nFor younger visitors\, the Kids Zone promises endless fun with face painting\, a jumping castle\, a magician\, a puppet show by Leo’s Edutainment\, and a few surprise activities along the way. \nFor the thrill-seekers\, the Suzuki Blind Navigator Challenge is not to be missed. Test your driving skills while blindfolded for a chance to win exciting prizes! \nThroughout the day\, soak up the atmosphere with live arena entertainment\, browse the market stalls\, enjoy live music\, indulge in delicious food and treats\, or unwind in the Beer Garden. \nKeeping the energy high and guiding us through the day’s programme will be well-known TV personality and presenter\, Survivor SA Season 7 runner-up and Mrs South Africa 2018\, Nicole Capper\, who will serve as MC for the event—ensuring you don’t miss a moment of the action. \nThat’s not all!
